Mal has a rich background in jazz, blues, and improvisation, having performed at all major national festivals and venues, and internationally. He has shared the stage with prominent artists such as James Morrison, Don Burrows, Bob Sedergreen, Brian Brown, Ted Vining, Bernie McGann, and Allan Browne. Additionally, he has supported international legends including Branford Marsalis, BB King, Ray Charles, the Phillip Morris Superband, David Sanborn, Nat Adderley, and McCoy Tyner. He has also twice toured nationally with blues legend Jimmy Witherspoon.
